Getting Space-y on Wednesday

Morning, all!

OMGoodness, it’s Workspace Wednesday again already!

This Wednesday for me is about doing overtime at my real-life-place-of-employ, about going to the supermarket and picking up some foam to reupholster a super ugly arm chair I got for five dollars.  And, delightfully, about these spaces::

The Literal Workspace — I’d need much more than a tutorial to make one of these

To assist when getting one’s head in the game — So very near to my heart

And finally, something to bring out the creative genius we keep on a leash — Ghostly, elegant

Wishing you sunshine!

Marvellous …Tuesday?

Hi guys!

It’s time for Marvellous Monday, the Tuesday Volume.

Because even though Monday has come and gone, we all deserve a chance to marvel at stuff.

Marvellous Monday was created because every Monday as we drag ourselves into the new week, still muddle-brained from the week before and bewildered at the thought that it’s time for our real-life job to start again already, we want to share something pretty that someone else made, just to make the world seem that little bit less menacing.

Linky links:

The most delicious bathing accompaniments one ever did see

Super talented and generous lady gives stuff away

Like a portal to some gorgeous land, right there on your finger

Yay for marvelling on Tuesday!

The Second Saturday Stopwork

Happy Weekend!

Even the most prolific, steady creatives need to down tools and do something else – maybe something mindless, maybe something intellectual, maybe something involving mud and tennis balls and a very happy dog.  And this is a weekly post of things we love for moments like those – for Stopwork Saturdays:

The latest episode of our Saturday Stopwork has a theme.  It’s not complicated, dense, or in the least bit symbolic.  I’m sure we’ve all had the sleep deprived moments when we’d give up anything (anything, even our entire collection of Penguin Classics, the chance to hear Mumford and Sons play live, and the last tea bag in the jar) just to get an extra hour’s sleep.

I am in that moment.  So, instead of sacrificing three of the most glorious things known to humankind, I choose to honour the Nap Gods by presenting our links for today:

Lovers — I Could Definitely Go a Hug Right Now

And Dreamers — Even the Bunny Agrees With Me

And Me — Substituting Tea Messes With the Syllables, But the Sentiment Remains

I hope you have a scrumptious Saturday!

Oh, and for a link to the cutest political statement I ever did see, go here.

Space-time!

Morning, all!

I’m frankly delighted to present to you the second (first one here) ever post of Workspace Wednesday.   Not only because I love finding and choosing the spaces, but because I’m actually following up the first entry with a second one!  On time and everything!   It’s a pretty exciting time at Ply.

So, without further ado (read: self congratulatory rambling) I present today’s spaces:

The Literal Workspace – and let’s call it a dream-space this week – lives here — At the Most OMG Organised Crafty-Lady’s House EVER

This episode’s Head Space is — Something That Life Has Taught Me Yet Again This Week

And our last link for today is an inspirational little nugget enclosed in cuteness — Much Like a Baby Penguin Cuddling a Compliment

Thanks for dropping by – leave love here, or check our our FB!

Get Your Marvel On

Hi guys!

Here’s the next scheduled, alliteration centred post of our mini-blog-experiment.  It is Marvellous Monday, created because every Monday as we drag ourselves into the new week, still muddle-brained from the week before and bewildered at the thought that it’s time for our real-life job to start again already, we want to share something pretty that someone else made, just to make the world seem that little bit less menacing.  Our links for this Marvellous Monday are:

Something that makes us think of sneakers soggy with spring dew, metronome tails, and cupcakes

Something kind of crazy and awesome and whimsical

Again whimsical, this one is the perfect execution of a lovely trend

We hope that in marvelling, your Monday has found it’s sunshine!

Introducing: The Saturday Stopwork

Hi again!

Here’s the next installment of fun stuff we do and love and fall over in the interweb-wonderland, charmingly (we hope) entitled Saturday Stopwork.

Even the most prolific, steady creatives need to down tools and do something else – maybe something mindless, maybe something intellectual, maybe something involving mud and tennis balls and a very happy dog.  Here’s a post of things we love for moments like those – for Stopwork Saturdays:

Something Cute — He is Me at Seven on Saturday Morning

Something One May Choose to Ponder — Are You French? Yes I’m French!

Something to Do — Like Bric-a-Brac Only with Fabric!

I hope you have a scrumptious Saturday!

Come Ply With Us!

Hi guys!

We wanted to share some of the fun stuff we do and love and fall over in the interweb-wonderland, but without the tenacity or confidence to leap into regular blogging, we’ve decided to do a mini-blog-experiment, with schedules and themes and fun (alliteration filled) titles.  We’ve been putting off getting started, because, well, projects get scarier the longer you think about them, right?  But it really is time to bite the bullet, so after much steeling of nerves (and a long and rambling introduction, apologies) may Ply present to you the matinee screening of a post we’re calling Workspace Wednesday!!

Workspace Wednesday is made up of three different links, themed around the workspace we all create and sink into when we’re doing creative stuff.

The first, Making Spaces, is basically a drool-fest, over the literal workspaces that other creative people have made and been kind enough to share on the internet for us all to lust after.  Here is this week’s link-edition:

An Office to Drool Over

The second link is Head Space.  This is mostly quotes or lyrics, lists or lines; motivational bits and bobs intended to help you make the mental jump from Out in the World to Making Awesome Stuffs.  Today we present:

All the Typography Nuts Sayin’ Hey-Oh

Last of all we have Spatial Inspiration.  This is something beautiful that someone made or did that makes us stare and wonder, and clicks that puzzle piece inside that spurs us off the couch and into the craft room.  The final link:

Some People are so Talented That They Smile and Glitter Rains From the Heavens

I hope you’ve enjoyed our little link-fest!  Enjoy your day!
